Dear Mr Sarthak. Am a first-time reader of your writing. I don't know why, of all the millions of Substack essays out 'there' I chose to read yours. By Jove! Your writing filled me up. Like Mr Sanket said, 'sublime'. It kind of reminded me of Rohit Brijnath, but no, this was an ode and a plea to K L Rahul. I like him but, yes, seems exactly as you portrayed him, summer gone and autumn leaves falling - in these days of 'instant' and so much scratching at the door of opportunity, he needs to have 'the rest is history' moment/s from hereon. Or like that other firebrand Sanju Samson, he may just be a flame flattering to deceive before he rages into a roaring fire of beautiful, sublime batting. Please do write about Sanju too. Thank you. Beautiful. Am reading this poetic essay again.
This piece me sad for Rahul and at the same time, root for him to dominate again. Feels like the whole thing was written in similar form to the early days of test match batting . Just magnificent.

Thank you so much, Renuka. Such kind words! :) I am a fan of Rohit Brijnath's writing, so this is incredibly high praise.
Sanju Samson makes for a great subject. I'll write on him sometime, totally. :)
Sarthak such sublime writing. The story telling!!
Thank you, Sanket!
As a former Rahul fan who couldn't keep up with the injuries and comebacks, this is a great primer. Also hoping for magic before winter 🤞
Thank you so much, Soumya!
And indeed! Century at Perth, and we party.

Thank you so much, Maanav :)
*his test match batting
piece *makes me sad. Ugh. Sorry, lol.
Hahah typo-spotting after clicking publish is a real thing, I feel you 😂
I have now spent more time reading about KL Rahul, than I've watched him play. 😬
Also, reading this may just serve as motivation for Rahul when (if?) he takes stance in Australia.
Hahaha thank you, Rohan! I realised that this piece is lasts longer than a few of his recent outings.
I hope he kills it in Australia.
